The Young Shakespeare Company is one of the most well-established and respected educational theatre companies in the UK. Formed in 1988 by Artistic Directors Christopher Geelan and Sarah Gordon, the company currently performs Shakespeare to over 100,000 young people every year. The company works in primary and secondary schools, theatres and arts centres across the country, providing a year-round programme of workshops, performances and INSET courses. Our projects have been cited by the Arts Council as an example of excellence in arts education practice.
